Approval of citizenship and real-world experience..MJSP/PF by Nomad Mundo
Greetings to all....My citizenship was finally approved last week. The new system (Naturalizar-se Brasileiro) allowed me to do everything on my own. Aside from the PF, I appreciate their system. You're all welcome to share your most current ...

@meiasdoglegs8f The PF have basically admitted that they're very behind. It's thought by some that the process was purposefully stalled out a bit during the prior administration; however, just glancing through a few months' worth of despachos and ... Read More

@meiasdoglegs8f The PF moves at a snail's pace. I sent multiple emails in addition to my protest/rebuttal on the site; I had so many issues even getting my residency permit that I just all but stormed my way into the delegacia. Basically ... Read More

Three Phase Power in Brasil by alan279
If there are three overhead power lines on every street in my neighborhood, is that 3 phase power? With transformers distributing 127 volt and 220 volt electricity to shops and residences? Does that sound correct? Can I install a 50 kw DC fast ...

@alan279 If there are three insulated wires and a neutral, it's a safe bet that 3 phase is available. Consult with your provider to make certain, because it's also a safe bet that about 90% of the wires handing from the poles are useless either way. Read More

@Pablo888 Yeah, it's a neutral and not a ground. I've got my ground connected about 25cm inside from the meter head. Read More

@Pablo888 My initial petition was October of 2023. Apparently they decided in about March of this year that they didn't like my FBI IdHS, so I had it done again but was unable to submit it to the site, so I made an argument with the PF and they ... Read More

Pirarcicaba (Sao Paulo) I think I spelt that correctly by ltoby955
Is this a safe area to live?

I have family there and Americanas. As long as you stay out of the favelas and don't get into anything ridiculously dumb, it's relatively safe. Most of the crime is drug related; last Christmas we got to watch PF helicopters and drones flying out ... Read More

I am at the very final stage; about two weeks ago, two PF agents came to my home around 13:00 on a weekday. They explained their purpose and had me come down to talk to them. We went to a neighbour's house and they verified with him that I indeed ... Read More

Check your meter head. You'll have two hots and a ground, which is called "split phase" but is actually only considered single phase. You'll only use one hot leg for 110 outlets, but 220v will make use of each. As I have nothing here ... Read More

Brazil Citizenship Questions by Planetf1
Olá pessoal!I’m a Dutch national currently living in Brazil, and I’m trying to figure out when I’ll be eligible to apply for Brazilian citizenship. I got married to my Brazilian spouse in March 2024 and received permanent ...

@Planetf1 You should apply for citizenship after you have completed one year of continuous residence, Three months' absence is considered excessive for one year's residence. PF and MJSP will most likely reject your application ... Read More

Where I live, they're all more or less the same. Show up, make an appointment for a "free" exam, and afterward select your frames and lens type. They'll range from R$700 - R$1500 for single focus, and up to R$1900 for bifocal or varilux. Anything ... Read More
