Hi !

My name is St茅phanie, I'm a 32 years old french woman and we moved in Guthenburg with my husband the 1st of june. We came here because my husband works for a huge swedish company and and it is really great fun for us to discover this new life !

I speak french, english, italian and I try to learn swedish also which will help me (I hope so) to meet more swedish people and learn about everyday's life in Sweden

No swedish is not so complicated to "learn" but a little bit more to understand and being understood...聽
I mean that grammar is a lot similar to english one (which helps me a lot) but prononciation is far more complicated as they don't pronounce half the letters they write... but in the end...who does....certainly not french people, don't we ?

Is there a lot of accents in Sweden? (accents don't help)

Well I shared a flat with a swedish couple when I was in London, I tried to learn a few words but it's been very hard for me to remember (I think my memory is very visual)

And yes, one (big) cliche: have you ever been to the "ice bar"?

Yes there are a lot of accents completely different from north and south for example (just like in France !) .

And I'm afraid it won't be long for me to "lose my swedish" once back in France. You know if you don't practice a language, you lose the vocabulary very quiclky so don't worry about the words you learnt.... Would you go for a couple of days in Sweden that you would have them back ! But I can still spread over some of them to make you reminding them....

About the" ice bar", i think we will have to wait for the "deep" winter to arrive . But I only heard about one in the ice hotel in Kiruna (which is not yet built now). Is it the one you are talking about or is there another one I don't know yet... ?

It depends I think , it will be our first winter here in Guthenburg but I will let you know.

For the moment it is daylight from 8 until 18 which is ok but very soon we will change time and the ligt reduces everyday so....聽 "Vi ska se" as the swedish say...
