U.S. citizen in Romania

chuckkh

Hi there.
I'm Chuckk.  I met my Romanian wife at university in Philadelphia, where she went from Romania.  Now she has to remain in Romania 2 years before returning to the states, so I am here with her.
I'm a composer, focusing on computer music production and programming.  I am considering applying to some schools in Western Europe for a master's degree or doctorate.
Right now my ability to remain in Romania is very much in doubt, due to their immigration policies and our financial situation.  I'm hoping to learn more about immigration and being an expat in general.  I don't want to be a permanent resident or a citizen, I just want to be with my wife, and be able to earn some money.

That's about it.  Thanks for having this forum, I look forward to meeting other expats.

Welcome on board Chuckk!

In which country would you like to move?

Best of luck in your projects,

Julien

Hi, thanks for the welcome.
I would like right now to stay in Romania, where I am now.  If I can't straighten out the Stay Permit papers, or if I can't make enough money, I may have to return to the USA...

Are you trying to learn the language? I must be easier with your wife :)
