Cost of living Luanda

My Name is Nick Martley , joining Luanda, Angola as head of manufacturing /Production manager in a manufacturing unit.

My question is whether 300 dollar is enough for the whole month considering food,transport and accommodation is taken care by the employer company.


Any informative info i will appreciate.

@nppploperations hi nick really depends on your lifestyle in terms of eating out etc.聽 USD300 is likely to be enough. Food abd drink is cheaper than it used to be. I would suggest you also join expats Luanda at FB well. welcome to paradise !

$300 USD a month..


Let me give you an idea, thats approximately 300,000 kz if you exchange it in the streets. If you using you debit card to withdraw from ATM鈥檚 you looking at approximately 230,000 kz.


I spend approximately 50,000 kz a week on groceries at KERO, for a family of 2/3 you鈥檒l be fine. thats 200,000 kz a month just on food.


Disclaimer: As of March 2024. Angola inflation rate is insane, one day milk is 600kz the next its 900 kz. Economy is not stable yet. If you earn in USD you鈥檒l be fine.聽


If company is taking care of accomodations, food, etc then you鈥檒l be fine.
