I live outside Cairo in the Sinai. I would like to have some herb plants my balcony - basil, parsley, etc - but don't know where to buy them. Does anyone know of a good garden/plant shop in Cairo that might have pots of herbs? I prefer not to go to 6th October City as I don't know my way around at all.

Most probably any flower shop in Cairo can provide this. Would be better to find the flower shop in Maadi next to the satellite channel.

write down which area in Cairo you can go easily & I will tell you where to find a plantation near by

Herbal plants can easily be found at the nursery of the Ministry of Agriculture in Mohandessin/ Giza, just before you reach the Shooting Club and the FAO building.
