Anti-depressants

Jonngirl

Is it possible to get anti-depressants in Ethiopia?  If anyone knows of any doctors in Debre Zeit and/or Addis Ababa that prescribe anti-depressants I would be grateful for the information.  Also, does it work the same as in the Western world?  Meaning, you have to go to some sort of therapy or counseling sessions to continue with the prescriptions.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, it is possible to get anti-depressants in pharmacies in Addis.

You'll need prescriptions from a certified doctor who'll first probably ask you to attend a few counselling sessions with him/her.

You can contact Dr. Menelik: 0911-220-852
I know a few people he treated and they say he's good. I think he was trained in the West.
