Hello Amauthoor, welcome !

“According to the National Pensions Act (1976), a Mauritian citizen over the age of 60 is eligible for retirement pension if he resides in Mauritius and has resided in the country for at least 12 years since the age of 18 years old"

The rule of having to have resided in the country for at least 12 years since the age of 18 years old falls away when you reach the age of 70.

The Basic Old Age Pension is available to all Mauritian citizens from the age of 70 regardless of residency. You need to submit an application together with all the required documents.
