Recognition of foreign qualifications in Zambia

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

Were your professional qualifications recognised in Zambia? What country did you complete your qualifications in? What profession are you in?

Did you have to go through any formalities to get your qualifications recognised, such as to have them translated?

If your qualifications weren't recognised, were there any additional tests or exams you had to complete before you were able to practice your profession in Zambia or continue with your studies?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Priscilla

Hi Priscilla,

I am a Mauritian who is working in Zambia, Lusaka. My qualifications are British, SC and HSC from Cambridge and my two Masters from CIM and The University of Gloucestershire.

For the temporary work permit of 3 months there wasn't any issue however now that I am going for a work visa, they need my Certificates to be certified.

I did mine in Mauritius a few years back but I am told by my representatives in Lusaka that the certificates will have to be attested locally to be recognised.

My company is dealing with Mind Solutions, Mr. Peter Phiri.

Regards,

Omran Ahmad
