Where to live whilst studying at Fudan Uni

Sallybee

Hello,

I am going to be studying at Fudan University in September and I'm not to sure which international dorms to stay in or should I live at the international village?

I do want to make friends quickly and also take part in some sporting activities.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thank you 😊

Hi Sally,

Living in the international village might be the good option, you do not have to spend a lot of time looking for the proper shared apartment with other foreigners. The rental in Shanghai is kinda expensive, sometimes the extra fee, such as electric, water, wifi, is not inclusive. The facilities of international village are quite good, and it's very close to Fudan University, there're also some restaurants around, it's really convenient!

Hello,

I noticed you said you "want to make friends quickly".

I hope you won't be offended if I remind you of the famous quote from Brideshead Revisited:

"You'll find you spend half your second year shaking off the undesirable friends you made in your first."

Best of luck,
