Best compound (villa or townhouse)

roy0815

Dear all, my company has asked me to work in GZ for 2-3 years. According to the companies' policy for Foreign Service Employees (FSE) I'll get a car, flights and also accomodation paid by company.

I have visited China more than 20 times, but have never been to GZ.
One of my most important questions is, where to find a good compound with single houses. I have checked usual sides as joannarealestate etc. but I'm not really satisfied because on one hand the houses are too far away from my office (Pazhou East Road, Zhuhai District) and on the other hand, some are too expensive. Limit should be 27.000 RMB
The compoung should contain gym, restaurant, shopping and should be pet friendly because we would like to bring our dog (that is another story).
When flying over GZ by Google maps I can see some compounds but they are not listed at the usual sides.
I have Ersha Island in mind or Cape Coral. Any experiences with those kind of ares?

1. I think your office is in Haizhu District, not "Zhuhai District".

2. Pazhou East Road is a new area and a lot of high office bulidings there and close to the exhibition center. It is easy to find a good place for the dog, but gym, restaurant, shopping...It seems not easy to find out...

3. If you need more details, pls let me know...

By the way, I have an interview in Pazhou East Road tomorrow. God bless me...

Ok, I'll keep my fingers cross then...

I'm not expecting to live directly next to the office. 8-12 km is ok, so that is why I have mentionned Cape Coral and Ersha...

Transportation in Guangzhou is very good. Don't worry about that. But the metro is a little bit crowded.

I think you can live around Zhujiangnew town or Tiyuxi Road, Tianhe district...
