New to Shenzhen - this summer!

I currently live in the SF Bay area, but plan to work in Shenzhen.聽 I visited Shenzhen for 5 days in May, and I was escorted by a person from my future employer's H.R. team.

The company I will be working for is located in Bantian, Longgang.

I would like some recommendations on:

* Housing: I would be looking for a 2-bedroom apartment (I'm guessing furnished ones is the default). I would look for safer part of town, perhaps somewhere where people speak some English.

聽聽Where?聽 What districts/areas of town should I be looking at?聽聽

* Transportation:

聽 Do expats normally use co. transportation?
聽 Is a car-and-driver an option?
聽 Is commuting by taxicabs common?
聽 Any other option that's viable?

* Medical/dental/vision

聽 Is employer paid healthcare coverage the norm?
聽 Is Cigna a viable option?

i don't live in longgang. But for transportation,you can take the subway,take a bus or taxi,these are ok.The healthcare coverage is depends on the company.
