living in Pondicherry

I am a 50 year old Canadian guy who is planning to live in Southern India for six months - based mostly around Pondicherry to be close to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. I have only been to India once before and then only for two weeks - so know practically nothing about living in India.

I would welcome messages from anyone who is an expat who is presently living in Pondicherry.

I am living in the UK and considering moving to India- Pondicherry for 6 months ( to start) with my husband and daughter -5
I was just wondering if you had moved there yet and how you are finding things?
