I spent a couple of years in Wonosobo and came across this a lot but had no idea of it's name.

I can assure the OP this is alive and very much well in Central Java. These guys, for 'tis usually guys, are all over the place and charge handsomely for their services.

I canÂ’t speak for Dukuns (I live in Bali) but as for BaliansÂ…there is something more to that than superstitions, urban legends and black magic.  Of that I have utmost certainty.

I was told that some people see dukun as a witch doctor....

Somethings cant be explain and some people do the unexplainable. Perhaps thats why, or perhaps I need more coffee
