Maximilien

Hi,

What do you think of the way people drive in Macau? How different is it from your home country?

Respecting the road safety rules, driving etiquette such as general courtesy, speed excessÂ… what are the characteristics of the driving style in Macau?

Share with us the difficulties one may face when driving in Macau: peak hours, road conditions, accident, etc. and your advice to drive safely in the country.

Thank you in advance for participating,

Maximilien

Though they drive here much better than in China, drivers here tend to have no consideration to other drivers, particulary the "professionals" (taxi and bus drivers):
- Turn signals do not exist
- Roundabout rules do not exist
- Everyone drives on the "fast-lane"
- Scooters are everywere (on your left, right and with any luck on top and bottom)
- The only reason drivers don't speed is because trafic is dense and on the areas they could there are speed traps installed.

I am Portguese and trafic here is mad in comparisson.
