My introduction

JPollard

Greetings,

This is my introduction to this group.

I live in a rural part of Pennsylvania.  I am currently divorced.  I was married for 26 years.  I have 5 children.  I have been in business selling material handling equipment for the past 40 years or so.  I have been in the book selling business for the past 12 years or so.

I am an insatiably curious person. I have deep interest in "eastern mysticism"  and have been a Vipassana meditator for the past 18 years or so.  I have been to at least 6 10 day silent retreats.

I have a strong interest in leaving the United States and moving to another country.  I am attracted to Nepal for its culture and natural beauty.

I welcome communicating with any one who is currently in Nepal and anyone who has a desire to move there.

I am 69 years of age, in reasonably good mental and physical condition  - I want to move to Nepal while I am still in good mental and physical condition.

Best wishes of happiness for everyone in their journey.

If as you indicate, you feel that much drawn to Nepal, you should definitely go.
All I can tell you is that major changes have taken place in that country in the last several years.
Also, I just question whether this is the best time to make the kind of move you are talking about?
Conditions there at the moment are not exactly sterling and the Covid has not helped.
We can only hope that things will improve over time. The people deserve it.
