I want to build a 120 sqm single story house for 1 million (together with 60sqm cemented way outside).

What are some tips to reduce the cost to 8000 pesos/sqm ?

Most of the house will be build in a half cement/amakan style.

By the way: has the total collapse of the chinese housing market already reduced the cost of building material here in the Philippines?

Hmm careful, the cost can increase rather than decrease because of the material robs by workers, unforeseen which is frequent in the Philippines, works done badly to redo, etc...+ the danger not to buy here, buying chinese may appear much more expensive than planed
