Now that Elon Musk has taken over the US Treasury Payments System and installed his own people in there to run it, his own people being a bunch of 6 kids he calls IT Specialists, all aged between 18 to 24, are any of the American ex-pats on here even slightly worried about their future social security cheques arriving on time or arriving at all.

Perhaps Bob we should drift back to the OP or this thread will end up closed like so many others.

Maybe Fred could start new thread that would/could be more relevant to his political views as well as the longevity of his undies and 300 Klick fast trains and all the benefits of dealing with China as in reality none of those things have anything to do with the OP.

My personal opinion is that US pensions will continue to be paid as long as the country stays afloat.

I have a feeling in my undies that Trump will demand pensioners live in the states so they spend聽 their money聽 on US goods nd services.

Even if that doesn't happen,聽 the US聽 is聽 far too close聽 to going bust than is ideal for pensioners.

Countries are selling US debt - probably as a B-slap to wake Trump up - but I can see a bigger sell of that will destroy the US economy.

My political views are have the same importance as my underwear as far as this topic goes. World events matter, so pensioners should keep a close eye聽 on non-Trump media as the likes of Fox won't carry the story at all.
