American Native English ESL Teacher seeks Teaching Position

DanBarnett1

My name is Daniel Barnett.  I am from the United States.  I am a native speaking ESL teacher.  I have just arrived in The Philippines, after just completing a one-year ESL Teaching contract in Xi'an China.   I have a Bachelor's degree, and possess teaching certifications in TEFL, TESL, and TESOL.    I am seeking a new full-time teaching position in Manila.  Does anyone know how I might secure a teaching position here as an Experienced English Teacher ?   Any tips, advice, or contacts would be greatly appreciated !   Thank you in advance !   ~ Daniel

Hi Daniel! I would suggest to check some online sites like jobstreet. For an experienced teacher like you, I'm sure it wouldn't be so hard to find one! :) Universities are god too. Makati and QC are good places to start since there are many exclusive schools there. Good luck! :)

Thank you for your reply.   Yes, I have already been to Makita and had two interviews with Private Language Schools there, as well as applying at local universities.   It is proving to be a difficult time of the year for public schools, however; due to the fact that the school semesters are ending.   Neither of the Private Language Institutions that I interviewed with are returning my messages when I attempt to perform follow-up.   I will continue to try some other Universities, as well as my online searches.  I see many organizations online that want me to teach virtually from my home.  However, I need a physical place that can sponsor my work permit, and allow me to obtain a Work Visa/Residency permit.

Thanks for your help.   Please keep in touch should you come across any leads that may be helpful.

Best Wishes,

Daniel

Hi, Daniel! How goes your search? If you could still use a referral, I'd like to suggest the company I work for, which hires native speakers of English, especially those with TESOL/TESL/TEFL certification and teaching experience. We have office-based positions available (we're looking for qualified ESL writers, teachers, and even trainers), and we sponsor qualified foreign nationals' visas once they join our team. Our offices are in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. Please drop me a line if you'd like more information.

The best of luck to you!

Warm regards,
O.
