NDEH Gerald

Hello greetings, my name is NDEH Gerald I’m a Cameroonian and currently based in Cameroon. I wish to travel to Singapore and work there, but I don’t know how to go about it in acquiring a job offer from a Singaporean company or employer so I can have a job offer and get a work visa so it can enable me move to Singapore. Can someone help please???

@NDEH Gerald

Hello and welcome !

I would suggest that you read the articles under the work section of the Living in Singapore guide for expats. It contains information about the job market and how to start looking for a job.

All the best

@NDEH Gerald As Bhavna already mentioned above, you need a job first, then apply for a work visa (at a Singaporean embassy in o near your home country). You CANNOT travel here first and then find a job!

Finding a job from abroad is difficult. You only have a chance in areas where you have educational certificates AND applicable work experience AND there must be a shortage of manpower in Singapore in these fields. Which are these for you (and did you already check whether theyare shortage occupations)?

Hi I’m Marc from Denmark :)🇩🇰 I have a dream of working in Singapore . I’m graduated as an  engineer in civil engineering. I would love to work with project management or construction management :) I hope some can help me here :)

@Marc Szegvary Julien is the international site owner, resides in Mauritius and will not help you finding work in Singapore.

But you are welcome to read existing discussions about the topic, follow advice given there - and also post your own detailed question.

I wish you good luck in achieving your dream (which I also had at your age - and achieved in 1996)!

Hi all,

I’m Kat, a UK-based counsellor working remotely with expats and travellers around the world. I help people navigate the challenges of living abroad  from stress and anxiety to relationships, identity, and that feeling of being “in between†cultures.

A little about me: I was born in Denmark, but I’ve lived in the UK for over 20 years. I studied my Master’s at Copenhagen University, then later completed my Counselling degree in Brighton UK. So, I carry a mix of Danish roots and British experience wherever I go.

Alongside my private practice, I’m also building Kore.health, a new therapist directory designed to help people find the right “vibe match†when looking for support.

I’d love to hear about your expat stories here in Singapore — whether you’re newly arrived or a long-timer and I’m always happy to connect, share experiences, or simply chat about the ups and downs of living abroad.

Warm wishes,

Kat
