This happened to someone I placed in a role in June…his HR simply contacted MOM, they updated the IPA and it took 7-10 days…the typo was also aligned to his degree

Weren’t copies provided to MoM, I’m surprised they didn’t flag it because educational credentials are increasingly being vetted now.

Write to MoM requesting for the edits, should take a few days, but I will be a little cautious and back it up with a reasonable justification as to why/ how this ‘typo’ occured.

Degree Certificates, Transcripts and even verification was provided for both degrees (1 from Singapore Uni). These had the correct info.
I was guessing it was a typo from the MoM side. Have read on this forum that this has happened before.

If it was a typo on MoM’s side, shouldn’t be an issue. Go for it.

Actually Start date of the graduation (End date of graduation was correct) was wrong while filling the IPA form , but in spite of that  it got approved.

In previous IPA , he filled start/end date as : Jun 2006 to Apr 2010 , but in the recent EP application form he mistakenly put as Apr 2006 to Apr 2010 but his EP was approved within a week time.

Not sure of MOM if they they validate the start date as there is no proof of Start Date  of graduation you can give to MOM

I had the same thing, I have verified this with the vendor and said they could not select a specific date for the duration, its only Month and Year and they assure me that it is not an issue.

Yes , but for my friend even the start month he put wrong by mistake and by the time he realize the mistake , his EP got approved.

It seems they don't validate the start date as there is no proof as well  in the certificate from any university.

@SuperMan123 Can I kindly check how long did it take to get the IPA amended and I hope it won't affect the outcome of the IPA results?
