Driving licence

North24

I think there is a post on this but I have my original driver licence which has been translated in English and my international drivers licence as well. My visa is good for 1 year and certificate from the doctor too.

Would it be easy to get my Thai driver licence. Car and maybe motorcycle.

Thanks

Hello

Where are you located? If you are in Phuket many of us go to

Phang Nga province to get our driving license.

@North24 if you have a current international DL, DLT needs the following: citizen cert, med cert. They will issue a Thai DL for same type vehicle(s) as your international DL. Check forums for info on citizen/resident cert- I’ve seen posts regarding them. I have a farang/thai id in lieu of that cert.

So I found all this out at DLT in Mukdahan- my international DL had expired by a few days so they couldn’t do it but said if I had come before expiration it would have taken minutes… had to do it the hard way- 2 days of class/testing with the kiddos!

I’ll never let a DL expire again :-D
