Fitness coach

Natehorst

Hello, My names Nate, and I'm a personal trainer from Seattle USA. I would like nothing more then to spend my days working in paradise. My questions are
Does teaching fitness qualify as a teaching job that is open for non-thai individuals?
Is working as a personal trainer an option?
Thank you very much for your time

From the time Clark Hatch opened the first health club in a parking garage across from the US Embassy many many years ago there have been a few farang managers of health clubs but I never discussed their visa and work permit situation with any of them.  I have also known farang pilates, tennis and tai kwon do instructors but I am not sure if they were working legally or not.

There are a lot of Thai trainers who struggle to find good jobs in the industry locally and have to go overseas for better opportunities.  Again, my experience is somewhat dated.
