Generate electricity

melmalinowski

We need electricity out at our rice paddy to pump water. Our neighbors don't want to allow power poles out to our area, even if we pay for them.

My Thai wife favors a little diesel generator, but I expect that the electricity will cost much more than from PEA/Surin.

Solar panels and an inverter are possible, but warranty service is a big issue way out here.

Has anyone dealt with this?

I think that diesel generator is the answer to your problem... A temporary power line requires installation and electricity is more expensive than a long term contract  ;)
