Leisure in Tashkent

Hi there, I will be coming to live and work in Tashkent in August in one of the international schools. I have just come from living in Beijing for 9 years where I had a very active life. Every weekend I would play football, go out with friends, go to the gym and then during the week I would play in bands and join in music nights and quizzes. I understand that Tashkent will be much quieter than Beijing, but is it possible to do those things? Are there sports bars to watch European football and have a few beers with other people etc?
