FIREFLY100

just curious to know if they have SATNAV in Vietnam ?
also I remember one incident of a tourist coming to the u.k.
who took down the name of the street and thought it would be easy to find his way back and had great difficulty eventually he met someone who spoke the same language and could translate .....
the name of the street was one way street .........
I also remember hearing about a woman backpacker walkingย  down the street in Vietnam when someone grabbed her arm she immediately belted him with her bag and knocked him to the ground it wasn't until after that she realized that the poor chap was blind and was only trying to find his way .
one day I was in Dalat down a street where all the homes have tin roofs and a cobbled road where my wife's auntie lives Anh Sang
I like that street sitting in her home with a few other family members I saw an old lady a middle aged couple and 2 young children
dressed in rags ...... I stood up and gave this poor family
500,000 VNDย  my mother in law could not believe what I had done and promptly took it off her saying it was too much and that i didn't know what i was doing .... I said to my friend
H C M ..... Humanityย  ... Compassion...ย  Mercy .must go

There are few limitations on the use of GPS.

Naturally, taking sightings on military installations is likely to cause a 'concern'.

VN even has local GPS 'corrector' transmitters which reinforce weak signal areas. All the TV networks here use GPS for network timing.

The police also use GPS, as does one taxi company in TP HCM.
