If you don't mind you could create mingling groups of locals and expats for frequent meetings as to exchange information and learn more about others' cultures, lifestyles 

I would add that joining Internations is free, but you pay to join events. At these, almost more than half will be locals seeking to socialise and network and some to practise speaking English.

As a local, really sorry to know that other locals try to make advantage of meeting expats during kind of get-together or meet-up for business such as property sale, it's really unprofessional, but at least I'm not among them
