Driver's license point system

SteinNebraska

Is this even worth it?  Since virtually no one ever gets a ticket and just pays coffee money is this even a deterrent?

Just teach them to drive properly would be a good start

There are plenty of "us" who also drive improperly too.

It's just that we make up such a small percentage of the total driver population, that the bad ones amongst us don't stick out nearly as easily

My GF has an international license, In Vietnam she drives a typical Orange Ford Ranger, so I'm pretty sure she can handle a Van which I'm going to buy for her to drive around in the UK. Her worry is the UK points system, they don't take coffee money nor tea money. Most traffic enforcement is automated by cameras.

I always hang up and tell her off when she tries to facetime me whilst driving. I said we have cameras here in the UK that can even detect drivers using phones. You'd automatically get a letter through the post with points off your license. No excuses.
