Marriage in Vietnam

IamCharlie

I am a South African, currently living in SA. My fiance is Vietnamese, and my son was born in 2020, and I am expected to be with them sometime this year. We are planning to get married in Vietnam once I arrive. I currently have a notarized proof of marital status from my government in my possession, but it's not translated yet. Do I do that in Vietnam or while I am in SA?

What other documents would I need for my marriage in Vietnam? I am not 100% sure what I need, so any advice or info would be highly appreciated.

The marriage staus document is only valid for 6 months, by the time you get here it might not be valid. Get another one just before you leave.

Is that the only document I would need? Thanks for response, much appreciated

The documents as per the link. The only document from your home country will be your certificate of non-impediment, to show you arent married already.
