I have been undergoing treatment for around 8 months now. Seven implants, root canal work, crowns, etc.

I researched quite a bit before choosing The Dental Center (Mercy Lane, Belize City).

Throughout the treatment I have been impressed with the level of expertise and customer service.

I did research going to Cancun but when taking in to account travelling expenses, overnight stays etc I concluded that it would be less expensive to use The Dental Center.

I am not at all disappointed with my choice/decision.

Good luck

I just had several crowns done by .Dr. Monica Vasquez  on 5th Ave in Corozal.  I was very pleased with her work.

I've had some extensive work done as well and would highly recommend Dr. Pedro Habet/Dr. Hernandez. (Dental Center on Mercy Lane)

What is the average cost for a crown in Belize?

Nichi

I paid US$300 or BZ$600 per tooth for a porcelain crown with a metal base.

50% on the first visit, after she did the prep work and a temporary cap - the balance on the final visit. There were 3 visits per tooth and took about 1 week to complete.

I think it all depends on what type of crown you have . I paid US$ 299 (BZ$ 598) for a porcelain/metallic crown and US$ 499 ( BZ$ 998) for a full porcelain crown. All done by/at The Dental Center.

to John Henry, when you had the implants done, what sort of anestesia was used?   local?  "twilight sleep"?  and how did it work?   I need extensive work, extractions and implants.   thnks   Kris

If I can chime in.  I had 4 implants done on the top and 3 on the bottom.  I have full false teeth and they fit like a dream.  I had all work done with a local.  It does take some time but well worth it.  I have had regular false teeth on the top for 35 yrs. One of the best thing I ever did. This was done in the US and cost me $12,000. I wish I had waited until we moved to Corozal (June'14); I imagine the cost would've been less than half that amount!!

They put me out with general anaesthetic (my wife had to accompany me for the journey home). It was a painless experience although I did have the benefit of painkillers for three days following the treatment.
