For me, SW service to BZE doesn't start until 2/7/2016, but I will compare prices, etc. once it does. My flight price went up about $200 each in the last 3 weeks for our trip next month, luckily I booked before that happened. :top:

Okay, I just priced tickets. $390 out of Tucson RT. Tucson to Phoenix to Miami to Belize City. Shortest distance between two points is a straight line? Lmao  American Airlines

For me, $500 each for RT: BHM-Houston-BZE, on United. Delta is usually a little cheaper, but a little longer flight, and I have had issues with Delta in the past on other flights.

I am very anxious for Southwest to find a home here. Of all airlines I have flown Southwest tops them all.
Question: Has anyone had to go through customs at Houston Hobby?

Cochise8933

Good morning! No I have not gone through Houston, dallas-fort worth. Royal pain but no matter where you go?

paradisebelize

About customs,   how often do you fly?   For me the Global Entry program at U.S. Customs is more than worth the $100 sign up fee.  I skate through customs every time in five minutes or less.

Check out the Global Entry program  at

skistrail

Is the $100 fee yearly?

paradisebelize

Not yearly.  One time sign up fee.  No cost after that.   If you travel out of the U.S. very much at all, the re-entry process using Global Entry is a dream.

skistrail

Thanks, sounds like that might be the way to go.

Cochise8933

More information please? Application,  what Government.  Thanks

tincup33

Actually, no fees after is not correct.  Tee $100 fee is the non-refundable application fee.  If approved, and from what  I understand almost everyone is, the entry paperwork is good for 5 years.  At the end of 5 years, you have to go thru the process again (assuming the rules don't change between now and then.)

I have not gone thru Customs at Houston Hobby but I fly thru there frequently.  Much easier than flying thru IAH.

Do not make the mistake of flying aa.... the worst airline in the whole world, including Malaysian

U.S Border patrol

And for Canadians the Trusted Traveler Program is NEXUS, which automatically includes Global Entry, to cover both Canada and the US. Another bonus is, it almost always gets a TSA Pre check.

ronnraymore

such a shame I'm not Canadian... hunh?)

Aerodex

No one has been through customs at Houston Hobby yet.
The new international terminal at Hobby opens October 15, 2015, the same day Southwest makes their inaugural flight to Belize City. I will be on that flight. :top:
