Hospital Metropolitano Expands Coverage

Hospital Metropolitano, which is based in downtown San Jose, has facilities outside that city, too. They have just announced that they will accept U.S. Medicare Advantage enrollment to pay for emergency care and that they may expand that coverage further. Metropolitano is the sponsor of the MediSmart program which affords significant discounts for their various services in their facilities and by their enrolled caregivers.

What they have not disclosed is which of the many Medicare Advantage plans they will honor. Many or most of those plans limit treatment to their own list of enrolled providers, so whether any particular Advantage program enrollee can use Hospital Metropolitano is unclear.
