shipping from canada

I need to ship parcels from Toronto, Canada, does anyone there know of companies that are reasonably priced?  I'm getting prices up to $200 for a box about 40 lbs.  sounds expensive.  just want to send some clothes to our friends in Puerto Plata.

Maybe find some one flying down here and offer to pay the extra baggage and have them bring it.

That is what  I have done, extra suitcase is  50 bucks and holds 70 pounds I think.

Fedex or UPS is definitely not the way to go. Expensive. If there aren't any courier companies in Canada that do this then you can ship to NY or Miami and from there use a courier company.

I think dreamtime has given you a good alternative. From US and Europe it is really affordable to receive parcels here.

My friend has a friends company that he used to ship out his 42" TV from NY and that worked out pretty well for him. I can find out the name and contact of that company if anyone wants it.
