What's the preferred area in North Coast?

Hyperboles

Ok, I know, we should live a few months everywhere and make our own opinion, but we have little time and a big family we're moving with.

So you would help us a whole lot by giving us little hints on why the place you live in now caught your attention and still makes your delights.

Many thanks for your replies,
Myriam et al.

If you have school age children you probably want to be in the Sosua/Cabarete area with some very good private schools.   Puerto Plata also has some good schools but I am not sure a great place for large families with kids.

Most of our clients with fmailies and kids end up in the Sosua/Cabarete area.

Bob is  right, the  better expat  style schools are near Sosua and  Cabarete on the north coast.

otherwise there are  good schools in Santiago and Santo  Domingo.

For me I chose Puerto Plata for proximity to work but  still a town big enough to have  everything I was wanting to be near.
