Re finding Swiffer dry mop reills

Gman123

Now that I have moved to the DR I am trying to find the refills for my Swiffer dry mop. Anyone know a place in either Puerto Plata or Santiago that I can find them? They work great on these tile floors to remove the dog hair thanks

I'm looking for the swiffer wet!

Sometimes you can get them at pricemart.  Sometimes Nacional has them as well.

Otherwise eBay and Amazon are your friends.

You can also buy washable microfiber cloths and attach them to the swiffer! Just tuck the cloth in the little holes like you do with the refill! You can use them dry to dust or wet them for damp mopping.

Cheaper in the long run!

Good idea!

@Planner,
When you say Ebay/Amazon, what is the best way to receive packages? For example, is it best to go through an established business like a property management company, or is there drop areas you can pay to utilize their package services? I'm just wondering what the quickest, safest, most economical means of receiving ordered merchandise are?

You get a mail forwarder in Miami.  There are multiple threads about this. Find one with a convenient office near you, compare service and prices.  There are many good ones, everyone has their favorite.

You basically pay about US 5 per pound for your packages to be brought from Miami to here.  There are rules as well so get familiar.

Hi!  Research BM Cargo, VimenPak, EPS, etc etc etc.  These are "couriers".

You'll have Amazon (or Walmart, or any online store) send your package to an address in Miami, and the courier charges you by the pound to bring the package to DR.
Some deliver it to your home, some ask you to pick up in their office.

I have yet to see a Swiffer mop in a store here.  That's because the people that can afford a Swiffer usually don't do the cleaning themselves.

Anyone want to bet how long it would take for a housekeeper to break a Swiffer Wet Jet?  🤣🤣

Reusable cloths are fantastic- Been doing this forever - thought I was the only one!!  It works awesome!

Lots and lots of our favorite things we cannot find here!  But trust me it has gotten so much better than it used to be!

Get a courier!

Good luck!

Amazingly I found swifter and refills today at Almacenes Unidas in Santo Domingo.  Bloody expensive, wow.

Good points above!  You made. Me laugh out loud over: how long it will take to break a swifter!
