Hello Everyone,

I'm an American living in Salzburg for about the last 4 months.  The people here seem pretty friendly but I thought it might be nice to get together with some folks from outside Austria.  So here's how I plan to make friends in Salzburg...

I'm inviting anyone here to come for a coffee or a beer (or both sequentially) this Thursday (May 6) at the Republic Cafe.  Your first cup of coffee is on me and will include as many packets of sugar as you can tolerate.  I propose to be there from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  If nobody shows up, I'll be the guy typing on a little blue laptop.  If people actually do show up, I'll be the guy with a little blue laptop sitting closed in front of me.

Hopefully my offer is enticing

Yeah.  I think I need more lead time on an idea like this, there were several folks that were unable to arrange this on short notice.  I just got back from a trip to the States and am energized to arrange another meet.  I am particularly energized because after 6 months in country I finally bought a guide book.  With this and my shoddy grasp of the Austrian language I plan to explore the heck out of Salzburg and surrounding countryside (for starters).
