Legal Holidays after Unemployment (laid-off)

rajpnr

Hello everyone, I'm a non-EU citizen & hold a Permanent Resident Card - D (now called L Card). I have been working with Belgian Company for the past 3.5 years & have been laid off by my employer due to the re-organization. My last working day is in the next few days.

I have got 20 days of legal holiday balance with my current employer. Since my contract will be terminated soon, I will not be able to use those holidays for the moment. Would those remaining holidays be paid by the current employer ? I'm actively looking for new opportunities. Even if I find a new employer soon (& legal holidays are carried forward), I would have to take the full December month as a holiday (which might not be feasible, since I would have just joined the company).

Looking for insights on what could be done in this case. Thank you very much in advance, for the help!
