Concerns about First Point of Entry in Belgian Visa Application

Melikmess

Hello everyone,

Im a non-EU citizen and I have a question regarding the first point of entry in the Belgian long stay visa application. I initially listed France as my first entry point and plan to spend a week there before heading to Belgium. Will this choice pose any issues or complications in the visa processing or upon entry into France before moving to Belgium? Your insights and experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Normally no issues.

Your visa will be D type and all visas now are Schengen visas meaning you are free to enter via any Schengen country.

I've heard concerns that France customs might question the visa, as it's intended for Belgium.  From what I understand from you i shouldn't worry about that can you confirm that ?
