Single permit processing 2025
@mjarmak
my job is for West Flanders region.
I want to check the status of my single permit request from the below website:
workinginbelgium.be/en/single-permit.html
I have it's me profile, however, I faced with the error that says you do not have Belgian account, so I can't check the status of my single permit request. Do you know another solution that I can check it?

I think only your employer can check. Because you don't have a social security number yet
You can maybe try to directly ask the Flemish region by providing your name and employer's name.
Single permit renewal
Region: Flanders
Application: 10/12/24
WP: 02/01/25
RP: 25/02/25
@Nazario99
Congratulations! my application was a few days after yours, did you send them an email or anything to accelerate the process?
Hi,
My single permit application was filed on 2DEC, WP arrived on 19DEC. I still could not get the RP. On 21FEB, the consultant company informed me that the status just got updated as "In treatment". So what should I expect? Any thoughts? Thank you.
Hi all, here is my timeline (Flanders, first time application)
Submitted: 06/12/24
WP: 28/01/25
RP: Still waiting

@hilalasli777
What's your region and field of work?
Just out of curiosity to estimate the processing time for my case.
@Filizz
mine is also in Flanders, in which category is your application is?
Why for everyone RP takes a lot of time than WP, I saw online, for highly skilled category RP should take +/- 4 weeks but in reality it is taking more than 2 months.
@sarasaroub98
No updates from your case?
Checking in here a few times a day to see if anyone got the Annex 😂 Still waiting... It is kinda frustrating

Mine has arrived today. Good luck everyone!
@hilalasli777
Congratulations
Hi everybody, I'd like to share my experience here. Hope it's helpful.
Situation: job change from Brussels to Wallonia.
Submitted/no reply email: Feb 19, 2025
WP: Feb 20, 2025
Annex 46: Mar 7, 2025
Super fast compared to my previous experience, where Annex 47 was issued 4 months after the submission of the application.
Good luck to all who are waiting for the decision.
On another note: does anybody know whether I can go to the city hall to apply for an A card (residence permit) with Annex 46 while I am still at the old job? Or should I wait until I start the new job?
Hi guys,
Single permit (first application)
Region: Flanders
Application: 19/12/24
WP: 10/03/25 (they asked further documents from my side in 18/02/2025)
RP: still waiting .
Could you please let me know how long usually takes for issuing the RP in Flanders regions in these recent years? It takes around 10 weeks???

@E bayat
They should give you asap because it's already 3 months total since submission. Otherwise you send a complaint
@mjarmak
Could you please provide information on who and how to complain?

Email this reply@federaalombudsman.be after you pass 3 months since submission and you've been waiting 3 months for the single permit. He will help you get a decision asap.
Hello guys
Région Wallonie
Job: medical doctor
Single permit renewal
Application 04/02/2025
WP 13/02/2025
RPÂ 12/03/2025
Hello ,
I am working in Belgium, my work permit expires on 7th April 2025
My employer has applied for 1 year extension on 12th March 2025, got late due to COC approval.
I know its late now, and my work permit would take time, and cannot come before 7th April, In that case, what should i do.
Can I stay and work in Belgium after 7th April, or I need to inform commune and get a ANNEX 49 to extend my residence and work.
Please advise.
Thanks

@Mukund Chillal
You can email the work permit office to ask them if you can work.
I think it's fine if you get the work permit before your Id card expires
Hi, here is my timeline so far for a renewal request in Brussels:
- Application date: 14/03 (Friday)
- Region requested for extra docs: 17/03 (Monday)
They were very fast to ask for an extra document (less than a working day), but they asked for the payslip of March 2025.
Pretty weird, as we’re still in mid-March and it’s not available yet. But well, in about a week my employer will submit it in their platform.
Brussels Region, Renewal:
Application: Feb 7th
Work Permit: March 16th
They asked for an additional document in between, but not sure what it was.

Finally got my professional card on 26 March
Embassy sent the application on 7 Feb by post.
Now waiting for the Visa D.
Hello,
Single permit renewal
Region: Flanders
Application: January 29th
Work permit: February 26th
Residence permit: Still waiting
Anyone else from Flanders and still waiting for their Rp or recently received?

How long does it take to get a visa D?
How does this national register number or public safety number look like and from where we can get it. I just have file number and doosier number?
@businessqueries273 What do you mean? You know your national register number when you apply and get your identity card from the commune. Did you receive your residence permit?
@Mert AKEL
No, I have not received my RP, I do not know my national register number or public safety number, I just know my file number and doosier number. I asked immigration office about the status of my RP, they said without national register number or public safety number, status cannot be checked.
From where I can find out my national register number or public safety number, does only employer knows it?
@businessqueries273 I think your employer can ask about the status. Contact with your employer.
@Mert AKEL
Yes still waiting.
Work permit approved - 4th March.
When I called immigration department, they said don't see any renewal application on my name, even though I gave my registration number.(Kind of weird).
Then I emailed them , they still asked for work permit approval document and then said will take 5-8 weeks.
I keep checking on social security website for updates, but they are not updating anything.

I think only your employer can check
It's your employer who applied for your permit, not you. So it would make sense that they can't check using your ssn
