Non EU, work in France but live in Belgium

Jamjelly

Hi,
I wonder if anyone is in this situation: as a non EU, you work outside Belgium but you still live in Belgium.
I wonder if that would work. I was told by a recruiter it could, but i doubt it. Would be great if it could because that means i can work from home and my kids can continue with the school here. But what about the residence permit arrangment, thats why i ask here.
Many thanks for your input.

@Jamjelly did you ever find an answer or advice for this scenario? My husband and I are looking at a very similar situation at the moment. The idea would be that we'd live in Belgium but his job would be across the border in France. Trying to figure that one out if you have any advice.

Or if anyone else has had experience with this!

Basically there're agreement with NL/LUX/FR/DE.

You'd require a work permit in the other permit and you'd have your resident permit in Belgium based on the fact you're working

It means both country must agree on your case, so more difficult, but doable.
