Hi,

I am Surya Kumar from India. I moved to Bulgaria last November 2023 and I have my EU bluecard with me. I have applied for family reunification process for my wife who is staying in India.聽 All the documents were prepared and she also finished her D type visa submission last month in Bulgarian embassy in India. Right now, she is waiting聽 for her visa to be ready so she can collect it in the embassy in India and plan the travel to Sofia. Can anyone tell me what was the time gap between submitting the application and getting the visa for the dependent?

While I submitted my D type visa, I received my approval for visa within 20 days as I am the primary applicant so I suspect I face this delay for the dependent visa only. Therefore,聽 can anyone tell me if anyone got your dependent visa with the timeline it took? Thanks.

Someone in a similar situation posted on the forum recently about the same issue. They waited 2 1/2 months, which he was told is the current expected delay. It's only a little further down in the posts, so look for that thread for more information.
