Long Life to Everyone!

JimJ

Well, yesterday was my 76th birthday (I can't believe how quickly those years have passed!) so I've now comfortably exceeded the average male Bulgarian's life expectancy of 71.9 years. Now I have to pass the same milestone for female Bulgarians, which is currently 79.3 years.

Since I've treated myself to an e-bike for my birthday, it remains to be seen how long I'll survive the manic driving here....ðŸ˜

In case anyone's wondering: average male life expectancy in the UK is 78.8, female is 82.9. In my home country, it's 81.5 and 84.5 respectively...😎

What E-Bike did you g

After my father inlaw past away, we had his briefly before we sold it. Gawd that was scary sh^t. The tyres were thick as a motorbike and got up to 40km/h. No idea what make it was. Never found the manual. Id did cost €2000 though.

Im thinking of getting just something basic.

I bought a Cyrusher Kommoda Pro. There's currently a deal on so it's just under the €2k mark (plus €650 if you want a spare battery). It's a 250 watt motor and restricted to 25km/h, so completely kosher as a pedelec but easily "adapted" to a top speed of double that...if you're feeling brave/foolhardy. 😉

I also looked at the very attractive MeetOne Tour e-trike but that's twice the price and has two 750w motors, so is classed as an electric moped in the EU and needs registration, number plate, vehicle insurance, MOT etc etc, even though it's also restricted and has a lower unrestricted top speed. It's also brutally heavy!

Thank you, kind sir! I have to say that, given the current state of the world, I have rather mixed feelings about the prospect of too many more years of existence...🤔

My only concern on that score is I want to outlast my moggies. 😎

Wishing you many more healthy and happy years ahead and lots of safe, fun rides on your new e-bike! 😉
