Is it easy enough to do your residency by ypurself or to get a solicitor to do this for you and does anyone know approx costs and a honest and reliable solicitor if needed?.聽

Yes you can do it but it will not be fun! You will need plenty of time on your hands and lots of research

A professional will have pre booked immigration appointments so you can get slotted in quicker. It can take months to get an appointment depending on time of the year and location.

The rules change all the time and without notice. You would need to plan well and probably have multiple visits as they always ask for some document they never mentioned before.

It is a very slow process and will probably take 6-18 months depending on location. Cost vary for professionals but I have see 1500.00e generally for a couple.

I cannot recommend anyone but others on here do have some people to recommend if you go that route.
