New members of the Czech Republic forum, introduce yourselves here - 2025

Julien

Hi all,

Newbie on the Czech Republic forum? Don't know how to start?

This thread is for you ;)

We invite you to introduce yourself on this topic, to share with us your expat story if you are already living in the country,
or to tell us more on your expat projects in Czech Republic if you are planning to move there.

It will enable us to help you better but above all to wish you a warm welcome.

Welcome on board!

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m Amanda, and my family and I are planning to move to Prague this fall for a temporary stay. One of our biggest reasons for making this move is to give our kids—ages 15, 11, and 2—the opportunity to gain a more international perspective. We’re excited for them to experience a new culture, explore history firsthand, and see the world from a broader viewpoint. We’re also hoping they’ll pick up some of the language along the way!

My husband plans to work as a digital nomad while we’re there, and we’re looking forward to slowing down and making the most of this adventure together. We’d love any advice on family-friendly activities, settling in, and making connections in the Czech Republic. Looking forward to connecting with you all! 😊
