Hi Silvaner,
Don't get disappointed and you are not too old to make friends.
Try to share you experiences or thoughts about the city, your job, or why you decided to relocate. Some of us are in the blog to learn about the way of life or the difficulties in the place that other expats live.
People want to make new friends but they are reluctant to face the unknown. Give them a clue!
After all friendship takes its time, in my opinion.

Well, my DH and I are 40+ and just had our biometrics taken at the Chicago consulate, so hopefully by the end of this year we'll be in Copenhagen (we are applying under the Greencard Scheme).
