Just wondering if anyone out there has transferred money to South Africa before? Should I use a bank or one of these independent firms?? How is independent company's are able to offer best exchange rates?

Hi Sam! It depends on the amount and the speed of the transfer. You really have to compare the transfer & conversion fees. You might want to have a look at the different options compared from UK to SA: - tawipay.com/rates-from-united-kingdom-to-south-africa
