Yes you are right I married a man from luxor 5 years ago we have never lived as husband and wife because he has never supported me I gave him £5000 to buy a car to start a taxi company he sold the car and gave my money to his family so his sister and brother could get married I gave him money to build a caffee I later found out a caffee was built but he was falsely feeding me lies he spent the money also his father has my money that paid for a piece of land beside there house but my husband refuses to get me the paper work in total this man has falsely coned me out of £19000 all of which I have receipts to prove this I'm going for divorce I've been told I can divorce him in family court so that's what I'm going to do I'm hoping the court will help get some of my money back the consulate told me to take a court order out on him for this so I will be doing this to this man has lied commited adultery with a women in hurgada who has another Muslim mans child hes a disgrace to all honest Muslims who strive to make an honest life

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Sounds like you're not having a very good time; unfortunately, some men are like your husband, it is not a trait unique to Egyptian's or Muslim's in general and is very often a result of a clash of cultures where he sees nothing wrong in what he's doing and probably doesn't see what the problem is for you.

Assuming you're in Egypt, then all you can really do is either try and resolve the issues or leave.  There is no organisation that will come there to save you, you will be very much dependent on friends and family to help you.  If you need help with travel documentation, then contact the British Embassy.  If you're in the UK, then contact Citizens Advice or a lawyer.

One last point, it may be worthwhile checking that you are in fact married; the UK does not recognise Sharia ceremonies, no matter where they are conducted.

Hope this helps.
