Impressions of Neuschwanstein Castle

Tronus

This summer, I made one of the most exciting trips of my life - I visited the famous Neuschwanstein Castle, located in the picturesque Alps of Bavaria. Words cannot fully convey what I felt, but I will try to share my impressions of this fabulous place.

From the first glance at Neuschwanstein Castle, I realized that I was in a real fairy tale. Hidden amongst green forests and surrounded by majestic mountains, this castle looks like it has stepped off the cover of a book about fairies and knights. Its majestic architecture, with its tall towers and delicate details, is immediately breathtaking.

Walking around the castle, I felt like a part of history. The interiors are luxurious and filled with fine art, and each room is a little story telling about the life and dreams of King Ludwig II. One of the most fascinating parts was visiting the throne room and the king's bedroom, which are striking in their elegance and luxury.

The walk around the castle was also incredible. The picturesque views from above, the landscapes with lakes and dense forests create an incredible atmosphere of calm and delight. I spent hours enjoying the views and taking photos that will remain as a memento of this amazing place.

One of the biggest attractions of this castle is its breathtaking backdrop. Whether you're looking at it from a distance or walking around inside, it always looks like a magical part of a fairy tale world. This is a place that is really worth visiting for anyone who wants to experience real magic and enchantment.

For me, Neuschwanstein Castle has become not just a tourist attraction, but a real source of inspiration and admiration. If you have the opportunity to visit it, don't hesitate - this place is worth every minute of your time.

That is what it is:

A (romantic, but politically useless) king spent most of the state's money to built the castle after his dream - at a time when castles were neither fashionable nor valuable in military terms (as real castles were when they were built). It is not only the model used for the Disneyland castle, it is also made in the same spirit (just 100 years earlier).

The king died (officially drowned, but the venue only had 30cm of water and he was a good swimmer) just before the government finances ran out. The castle was never finished, butby now is generating more in tourism revenues than its upkeep costs - a rarity for historic buildings.

I disliked the commercialism, crowds and long queues - but the views are really great!
