º£½ÇÂÒÂ× income taxes

Marys man

As a retired American with a Sri Lankan spouse ( and 2 stepsons under 21) I am keen on moving to Greece as an expat, probably using the golden visa. But reading seems to show that income taxes on my 50k retirement would be 45%? I would expect to pay something, but that would make it impossible. Am I missing something?

Hello Marys man,

Did you get this information from the official website of government?  1f914.svg

Let's hope that someone on this forum who relocated to Greece by using the golden visa can share their personal experiences with you.

Ah, according to this the income tax is a flat 7% for retirees, but the first ten years of residency  is 0% for Golden Visa residents.
