Solicitor recommendation?

Dattyhead

Hi!

please forgive me if asking for recommendations is not allowed. I am considering selling my house in East Crete to a friend and wondered if anyone had a solicitor recommendation by any chance? I originally used a lady called Despina from Irepatra but can’t remember her surname! I did not keep up with the property taxes so will have to establish what I owe there, in addition to the transference of deeds. Any suggestions welcome!

many thanks

Hello !

According to

and

There are more or less 7 female lawyers in this town, and they probably all know each other :-)

If you look closely at the list, 3 of them have names beginning with a “D”.

Give them a call... maybe you'll get lucky.

As far as property taxes (Enfia) are concerned, you'll probably have to pay a fine of +/- 100 euros per year, as well as all averdue amounts.

Your lawyer will recommend a notary. Notary and lawyer fees are based on the objective value of the property (there is a legal fee scale). Roughly speaking, for an objective value of less than €150,000, you will be charged around €2,000 for the notary and €1,000 for the lawyer. Transfer duties are around 4% in all. Other costs: translations/interpreters, power of attorney, accountant (for your Enfia) etc.

Yours faithfully

T.
