calculating property taxes

hewhoisdom

I am planning to purchase a vacation home in Italy, but am not certain about my estimates. According to the municipality, the IMU is 7.6%. Other online sources say that the cadastral value is somewhere between 50% and 70% of the market value. So, for a property with a market value of $100K the IMU can be as low as $5,320.

This seems very high. It's been suggested that the IMU should be very low - around $200. So, what am I doing wrong?
